July 2024 Theme : Surrealism
The theme "Surrealism" explores the imaginative and dreamlike realm of the subconscious mind. Artists are encouraged to create works that defy conventional reality, blending elements of fantasy, symbolism, and the unexpected. Surrealist art often features bizarre and fantastical imagery, with juxtaposed objects, distorted forms, and dreamlike landscapes. Participants may draw inspiration from their dreams, fantasies, and subconscious thoughts to create thought-provoking and visually captivating compositions. Surrealism challenges traditional notions of representation and invites viewers to explore the depths of the human psyche through unconventional and enigmatic imagery. 

Artists are required to submit:

1. Name
2. Email
3. Artist Bio (Max 500 words)
4. Portfolio (Max 6 images/videos)

2. Art Social Media Handles

You can begin your application and return to it as you please, however it must be submitted by the posted deadline.

Please also note that you can request to edit a submission after you have submitted but before the final deadline.

Please note that entering our Monthly Art Award does not affect your application to the Boynes Artist Award in any way. This application is separate and also has no bearing on judging in the Boynes Artist Award.
